The Premier has established the Provincial Committee on Traditional Leadership Disputes and Claims following the announcement in his State of the Province Address and during MEC Motsepe’s budget vote. The commission is known as the Kgatla Commission and is under the leadership of Commissioner Ms Ramokone Kgatla who will chair the commission and was appointed at National Level in January 2011 by the Minister of Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs in terms of Section 23 of Act 41 of 2003.

The provincial District Makgotla as per the Exco decision no. 19 of 2011/12 commenced three weeks ago, with Vhembe taking the lead on 3-4 May 2012. This was followed by the Capricorn District, whose session was on 8-9 May 2012, at Bolivia Lodge. The purpose of these workshops is to conduct an analysis of the draft IDPs/ budgets as adopted by municipalities, prior to the final adoption of the IDPs/ budgets by end of May.

The Provincial Disaster Management Committee led by MEC for the department of CoGHSTA, Mr. Nkomotana Clifford Motsepe, will this Easter Weekend, (from the 05th to the 09th April 2012; launch the Disaster Management Campaign. The launch aims to communicate and raise awareness to the multitude of visitors and citizens of Limpopo on disaster prevention and mitigation.

On 28 March 2012, over 80 interns from CoGHSTA s various Business units gathered for a farewell function. The farewell was organized by the MEC Mr Nkomotana Clifford Motsepe. The Human Resource Development unit facilitated the event.CoGHSTA recognizes and values the role played by Interns 2011/12 in various business units. These are contract employees who assist various business units in executing their responsibilities by way of on the job learning for one year.
